When life gets too complicated for me to handle, I focus on the simple things that I enjoy. I made this list to remind me that its not all that bad. I could have made a list of 100 things but I think you’d get bored reading all of it.
- Watching the sunrise along NLEX on the way home.
- Cold December mornings.
- Days off from work.
- 8 hours of sweet, unadulterated sleep in the evening (I rarely get this nowadays).
- Eating 3 full meals a day.
- Staying home when it’s raining outside.
- Listening to my choice of music from my ipod on the way to work.
- Waking up in the morning to the sound of birds perching on my room’s windowpane.
- Reading a good book.
- Back rubs from my Mom when I’m sick.
- Watching Pacman’s fights live over the internet with my Dad.
- Turning the radio on and finding out that the song being played is the one I’m dying to hear.
- Learning the chords of a song I want to play in my guitar.
- Summer.
- A cold shower on a hot and humid afternoon.
- Free meals.
- Nature hikes.
- Avail time in the office.
- Watching the teddy bear hamsters in a pet store.
- Drinking 2 glasses of water after every meal.
- Finding and reconnecting with old friend in Friendster or Facebook.
- Putting a freshly ironed pair of pants and finding out that I left money in its pockets.
- Watching TV series marathons.
- Conversations with friends who really listen to what I’m saying.
- The scent of “Lechon Manok” while it’s being grilled.
- Eating slowly. (Sometimes, I even prefer eating by myself just so I can eat as slowly as I want to).
- A clear blue (pollution-free) sky
- Wall calendars with pictures in it.
- Comic strips
- Google and Wikipedia
- Happyslip’s video blogs
- Plants vs. Zombies.
- I enjoy looking at trees.
- Listening to the Morning Rush with C&D.
- Walking
- Free massage
- Looking at old photos from previous outings.
- Drinking sessions with my friends and/or cousins.
- Videoke nights with my cousins and friends from home.
- Staying home alone.
- Watching fireworks.

There you go. Pretty simple isn’t it? There are so many things we should be thankful for. More importantly, we should all be thankful for the people who helped us reach whatever goals we have, however simple or complicated it may be. So, to all my friends out there, let me take this chance to say Thank you for everything. I made it through another difficult year because of all of you. Oh, and by the way, I hope you read items 42-50 again…(If you need the details/specs, just contact me) Once again, thank you in advance.
Merry Christmas to all!
